We talk about 6obby,Oliver Francis and more.
How did you get started in music?
I've been interested in music since I was in elementary school. The first time I ever started "producing" was back in 4th grade, I had a game on PS2 for making music. I started playing guitar in 2008, I've played in deathcore bands, pop punk bands, indie bands, and eventually got into producing EDM and dubstep around 2010. This eventually evolved into producing trap and starting to rap. So, my roots in music go way back and cross many genres.
What inspired your style?
Oliver Francis is definitely a big inspiration. I love his vocal style and the beats he produces. But along with this, I'm also hugely inspired by indie and emo bands. What I do is simply take that same emo vibe, and turn it into trap/cloudrap.
What are some your favourite artists and why?
Oliver Francis has to be one of my favorites of course. Aside from him though, YvngCrow is another favorite, the vibe on everything he releases is so dope, both his wavy stuff and his hard stuff. I'm also a huge fan of American Football, Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing, Owen, Park Jefferson, and a ton of other emo bands like that. Those bands have a huge impact on my life and I relate so much to the things they sing about.
What other cloud rappers do you hope to collaborate with?
I know this makes me sound like such a fanboy, but I hope to work with Oliver Francis sometime, somehow. Aside from that, Yung Pinch if I ever get the chance. And I definitely want to collab again with YvngCrow and Charles Quirk. I dig their vibe so much.
I see you also produce, What software do you use and how do you go about making a beat?
I use FL Studio. I usually spend a lot of time listening to new indie, emo, and post-rock bands. While I listen, I keep an ear out for nice melodies to sample. When I hear something amazing, I get inspired to make a beat with it. Sometimes I chop up and rearrange the sample, sometimes I leave it as is. But once I have it, it's easy to lay down the drums and get in the vibe of it. The 808 is usually the last thing I add, since I like to keep an open mind when it comes to finding the right bass melody.
How did you go about collaborating with 6obby?
6obby hit me up to buy a feature for "Worries". He asked me to produce the beat and do the first verse. People seem to like when we work together, so since then we've continued to collab from time to time.
My favourite track is Stardew, How long did it take to create Bedridden?
Glad you like it! The Bedridden EP took about a month and a half to create. I had a ton of other songs that I had planned for release on the EP, but they didn't make the cut. I only wanted to release my best on that EP. But chances are, I'll probably take inspiration from some of those unused ideas in some of my new songs.
Any interesting run ins with famous artists at all??
I'm from a somewhat small town, so I haven't really had any run ins with famous artists. Although, Oliver Francis has DM'd me on Twitter a few times to ask if he could use a couple samples I used in my beats, if that counts for anything.

How did you get started in music?
I was born April 1,1991 (Yes Aprils fools day lol ) I am the youngest brother of three, I use to sit back and listen to my two older brothers and step bros freestyle everyday after school, at the time i was like 13 and hadn't truly understood the basis of music, it always gave me a feeling of bonding and freedom...when i was in high school i was super shy (im talking pure anxiety at the thought of mingling with others, not because i was scared but i just never felt like they could relate to me. (They were busy thinking about how to get laid and i was thinking about Drawing and Anime and how to get paid)
Around my my sophomore year i started to play around and record songs on the schools free program called audacity... (This is when Myspace was very popular), a week later almost everyone at my school was listening to my music,it was crazy yet cool..so i basically used music as my extended voice and eventually fell in love with it.... i was Born in Dallas,Tx but my sound is completely different.
Who influenced your music and why?
My favorite rapper and biggest influence is Donald Glover (Childish Gambino ) We share all of the same passions such as Film writing ,Music and just not being afraid to be "Weird" To me he made it cool to say "Hey im different, and not all Black artist have to be Thug rappers" (First "Rapper " i have ever seen just sit care free indian-style with no shoes on,no big chains,No gimmicks while being interviewed on major chan ) The guy just makes Dope music all around for whatever genre he feels, and that's pretty much the same wave im on.
.Any mixtapes or albums coming out soon?
I have a song that me and another artist cooked up called "Zombie Walking " And it will be released In October along side a pretty spooky visual im pretty excited about it , especially since im directing the video myself , its like the best of both worlds. I have a 6 track EP that im working on called "Chloroforming Colors " I dont have a release date yet But when i drop it you will definitely be the first to know
.What are your aims for music?
My aim in music to just create the art that that i love and use this platform to take care of my Family and my son Josiah, because every Real man hates to see anyone struggle especially your own family. I ask my mom all the time what her favorite car is and what type of big house on the hills she wants. She worked her ass off for three kids and i think its time to return to favor and turn all of her dreams into a reality , and i know my music is what will one day make this come true.
