Sun Yehoshua has a growing fan base which includes pewdiepie, We Talk to Sun Yehoshua about his new track Whateveritis!
What inspired the title for your new track whateveritis?
The title is inspired from the thought of moving on/going with the flow. I often find myself being stuck on old memories or getting too caught up in the details or planning behind certain situations. "whateveritis" is a reference to letting go. Ironic because the track makes me feel the opposite.
It's really chill, good summer song. How did you set out to make the sound for this track?
I've been wanting to work towards using different samples for my next project, this happened to be a byproduct of me searching for something new but familiar. I imagine the project isn't going to sound too much different, but who knows.
How long did it take to make the track?
Making the track took maybe a day and a half. Longer than usual but sometimes getting it to sound exactly how you want it will make you dig into even the tiniest details.
Check out the new track here and be sure to check out the rest of his Soundcloud!
What is your name and aim?
My name is Yung Nate The Great (YNTG) and my aim has always been to make great music.
Where are you from and how did growing up there effect your music?
I'm from Harlem and being from New York we have a chip on our shoulders because we're from the birthplace of hip hop.
So you were on the legendary mixtape Pink Lavalamp featured on the track "living life to the fullest". How did you meet Charles and get involved with the mixtape?
I've known Charles since we were sophomores in high school. Live Life To The Fullest was originally recorded as a track for a collaborative album we were working on, but since the project never dropped we ended up putting it on his project.
out of your projects what is favourite song or project that you have created? I like your track and music video for your track work.
I appreciate that. I don't really have a favorite song. My personal goal is to make my favorite song and I haven't accomplished that goal yet.
How do you get inspiration and how do you go about writing a track?
I draw inspiration from anything. Life, other artists, etc. I record based on my mood at that particular moment. I simply try to capture moments ibn my life. I can remember what I was wearing and thinking during every song.
What are your plans for music, anything coming out soon?
Ive been working on my first official album. I don't want to release the name or details too soon but be ready for me to shake things up.
Thanks for you time Yung Nate.
Thank you for having me.
